About Matthew
I graduated from the University of New Haven in 2020 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology. During my time at the University I was very active within Student Life. During my senior year I was the President of the Marine Conservation Society; a student ran organization that focuses on educating the campus community on current issues involving conservation of the world’s oceans. During my undergraduate course work, I also participated in a Tropical Marine Biology mini-course. This course had student study abroad for two weeks in the Bahamas to learn and conduct research on coral reefs.
As a student I had also worked in two offices on campus. In one of the positions I served as a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï Ambassador in which I worked for the Office of Undergraduate ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï for all four years of my undergraduate time. The role of a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï Ambassador was to give tours to prospective students and their families as well as answer any questions regarding student life and to share my experiences from a current student perspective. In the other role, as a Resident Assistant, I worked for the Office of Residential Life. My responsibilities in this position involved overseeing a section of students within university housing. I provided aid to the students in terms of educational/social programs, resources guidance, and overall assistance for any residential life matters or questions.
I ultimately came back to the University to work for the Office of Undergraduate ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï to help make the college admissions process simple for prospective students and their families. I enjoy interacting with the students that are interested in the University and am happy to provide any information or answer any questions that would make their admissions process easier.
