Cynthia Gallatin, a higher education leader with over 25 years of experience, joined the University of New Haven in April, 2020, as Chief Digital Learning Officer. In December, 2022, she was promoted into an expanded role as the University’s Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to the interim president and serving as a core strategist supporting institutional initiatives, including responsibilities related to the University’s new branding project and key components of the Strategic Plan. Gallatin is a member of the President’s Cabinet.
Having worked at the intersection of education and technology, Cindy brings her expertise in online instruction, and her career has included marketing, sales, admissions, curriculum development, teaching, and extensive management experience. Most recently, she served as Chief Recruitment and Engagement Officer at Northeastern University where she oversaw marketing and admissions for graduate and professional degree programs. She led a staff of 60+ employees throughout North America who supported programs across the university.
Prior to that position, Cindy was the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Online Programs at Quinnipiac University. She launched QU Online in 2001, a division focused on providing instructional design, technical/administrative support, and admissions and marketing for all online programs. She was a member of the President’s Cabinet, the senior leadership team, and taught various marketing courses such as Introduction to Marketing and e-Commerce.
Cindy’s current interests include the integration of technology in education, digital marketing and new educational business models. She holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Bridgeport and a BS in Biology from Fairfield University.
