As an international business major at the University of New Haven, you’ll gain a global perspective through interdisciplinary studies in the core principles of accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing. All international business majors are required to study abroad. Students can spend a semester at the University’s campus in the Tuscan region of Italy or select from more than 400 other opportunities around the world, all designed to prepare you for life as global managers and as global citizens.

International Business Negotiations
An analysis of the various stages involved in the international negotiating process, beginning with planning and ending with post-contract adjustments. A survey and evaluation of the various primary and secondary sources negotiators can go to for information needed in the negotiating process.

Multinational Corporation
Specific problems encountered by multinational firms. Topics include investment decisions, environmental scanning, planning and control, and the social responsibilities of firms in host nations.

Global Business Strategy
Identification and relation of the elements involved in the dynamics of a company and its international environment through case analysis. This is a capstone course in international business.

Financial Aid Opportunities
We offer a comprehensive financial aid program, with students receiving assistance in the form of grants, scholarships, student loans, and part-time employment. Funds are available from federal and state governments, private sponsors, and from university resources.
